Review: David Oldfield

We thoroughly enjoyed David’s recital in January. It was great to have some Handel played on our ‘Handel’ organ. David explained that this was a piece that is rarely played and I wondered why this might be - it sounded rather grand - majestic even - and it was enjoyed by all. The Bach was wonderful to hear and clearly a challenging piece with more notes than seemed possible for one person to play; this was replicated in the Mendelssohn when David’s feet must have been very busy indeed. It was a most enjoyable recital and we are extremely grateful to David for his excellent performance.
