Weekly services

As a church, the primary purpose of Holy Trinity is the worship of God through Jesus Christ. We believe that, through this worship, God transforms and renews us. As Anglo-Catholics, our services take a joyful but traditional form - the ancient rites of the Christian Faith reinterpreted for the modern age. Although our Sunday Mass is our main service, there are other acts of worship during the week. All are welcome to attend any service: to participate, to sit quietly, or just to find out more about what we do.

Children are very welcome at all of our services. We are looking to establish a regular Sunday School - in the meantime we have a dedicated space at the rear of the nave with books and activities for younger children.

Sunday services

Sung Mass

11am - Also livestreamed

Our main weekly service: an hour-long celebration of the Eucharist ‘in the round’, with bells, incense and hymns. Refreshments are served upstairs after the service.

Compline (Night prayer)

4pm - 2nd Sundays

A 20-minute service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day, with the reading of Psalms and prayers of thanksgiving.

Benediction

4pm - 4th Sundays

A 40-minute quiet, reflective service centred around Christ’s presence in the Eucharist, with a short meditative reading of scripture and blessing with the Sacrament.

During Lent, instead of the normal Sunday evening services we do Stations of the Cross at 6pm every week, and in Eastertide, Stations of the Resurrection.

Our Sunday evening service takes place earlier, at 4pm, during the winter months, to allow the congregation to make their way there in daylight, and at 6pm during British Summer Time (from the end of March).
