Giving

We are blessed at Holy Trinity with being the custodians of a beautiful and historic Grade II* listed building that we hold in trust for future generations. As the civic church of Gosport, our building - including its treasured Handel Organ - belongs to all the people of our town and is used as a significant cultural centre, for concerts and exhibitions, as well as being home to an active worshipping community.

The reality is that maintaining such a unique inheritance is expensive and we are wholly reliant on donations to make this possible. We receive no government funding towards our upkeep or towards our charitable works, which are directed to all in need, regardless of faith or background.

We are extraordinarily grateful for any gift you might be able to make, if you are able. As a registered charity (1199183) you can apply Gift Aid to any donation if you are a UK taxpayer. Information about how to make a financial gift, either a one-off or recurring, can be found below.

You might choose to sponsor the bread and wine used in the Eucharist. There is also an option to donate to the Friends of Holy Trinity who, among other things, manage the sponsoring of chairs within the church, which can be dedicated in memory or thanksgiving of someone.

If you are not in a position to make a financial gift, please consider making a donation to our collection for local food banks. These can be brought to the church whenever it is open.

Alternatively, you might be able to donate some time to support our Community Soup Lunch, which provides a free light meal and companionship on Saturday lunchtimes. To find out more, contact Wendy Hunt.

  • You can also contribute to the Parish funds by giving to the collection plate on a Sunday morning or tapping on the card reader at the back of church.

Regular giving

  • The Parish Giving Scheme allows you to set up a regular gift to the Parish which is adjusted each year for inflation. Visit the Parish Giving Scheme website to find out more.
