New Stations of the Cross
We were delighted today to unveil our new Stations of the Cross, which we will be using for our Sunday evening services during Lent.
The new Stations have been donated on kind permanent loan by Mthr Margaret.
Mthr Margaret said:
“It is my joy and privilege to give these Stations on permanent loan to the church. I first discovered them in 2002 whilst I was studying in Salisbury on my three-year ordination course on a residential Holy Week at a school, in the chapel. I found them absolutely stunning and couldn’t take my eyes off them and, as soon as I could, I acquired my own set. I’ve been taking them around to all the churches since I was ordained in 2005 but now I feel it’s time for them to have a more permanent resting place. Holy Trinity is my spiritual home - it was here between 25 and 30 years ago that my vocation kicked off - and I can’t think of a better place to display them.”
Mthr Margaret then used water from the River Jordan, to bless the stations and for all those who look at them, that they may meditate on them and have their faith inspired and deepened by them.
