Confirmation service at St Mary’s Alverstoke

What a great experience for two members of Holy Trinity Church who were confirmed on Saturday 30 November at St Mary's Church, Alverstoke.  Jenny Darcy and Julie Martin were among nine people Confirmed by the Bishop Jonathan, the Bishop of Portsmouth, at a moving and enthralling service. They both received instruction from Fr. Godfrey prior to Saturday evening and now look forward to playing a full part in the life of the Church, especially at Holy Trinity.

The Bishop encouraged everyone present to join in the Confirmation prayer:

Defend, O Lord, your servants with your heavenly grace,

that they may continue yours forever

and daily increase in your Holy Spirit more and more

until they come to your everlasting kingdom.  Amen.
